The Who's Tommy

 

Declared “…superb… [with] outstanding choreography,and excellent sets and costumes.” by dance critic Terry Morris, The Who’s Tommy combines Pete Townshend’s original concept soundtrack with Christopher Fleming’s invigorating choreography incorporates a “…fresh blend of contemporary and classical techniques…” to create a rock ballet tribute to the Pinball Wizard himself.  Performed to rave reviews, The Who’s Tommy surpassed Dayton Ballet ticket projections and drew both ballet and The Who baby boomer audiences from over 100 miles away!

Premiered in 2003, Dayton Ballet’s America’s Robin Hood takes the classic story of the legendary English outlaw and places it in New York’s Mohawk Valley in the years just before the American Revolution.
